Endeavor welcomes Y&R’s Chief Creative Officer (and creator of Staples’ Easy Button) Leslie Sims to Collaborators & Cocktails!
As one of the most senior creatives working in advertising today – at one of the great, iconic agencies, no less – Leslie Sims is one of the most influential marketers ever to speak at Collaborators & Cocktails. Starting her career as a copywriter and moving up through the ranks at McCann where she ultimately served as Executive Creative Director, Leslie joined Y&R New York as Chief Creative Officer in 2015. Leslie’s presentation will include groundbreaking creative work, lessons and takeaways for today’s creative professionals, her POV on industry trends, and her “current obsession with the journey and the power of IDEAS” – how some of the best ideas can seem wrong initially, and how ultimately, many seemlingly terrific ideas don’t deliver as planned.
As Y&R’s CCO, Leslie drives creative vision for clients including Pepperidge Farm, Tim Tam, Dell, Cirque du Soleil and Xerox, whose new platform "Set the Page Free" recently launched.
Leslie’s work has been recognized with Cannes Lions, Clios, Webby Awards, ADC, One Show, ANDYs, ADDYs, LIAs, Communication Arts, and a Gold Jay Chiat Award. She was named a Cannes Lions film judge in 2016 and Glass Lions judge in 2017. She was awarded to Adweek’s list of top 10 CCOs in the U.S., and to Business Insider’s Most Creative Women in Advertising. She created one of the most famous brand icons, the “Easy Button,” for Staples and led the launch of Nature Valley “Trail View,” a digital preservation platform for the US National Parks, including two Gold Lions.
