Join us for our annual Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup! This year we will be at English Bay Beach on April 8th, from 10am - 12pm! This is a FREE family-friendly event.

Did you know that discarded materials along our shorelines often entangle wildlife, which can create injuries and even lead to death by drowning, suffocation or starvation? You can help prevent this from happening by joining us for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, a national initiative to help clean up Canada's shorelines and promote the education of shoreline litter issues. Spend a few hours on SUNDAY APRIL 8th from 10am to help us protect wildlife!

This free, family-friendly event is happening rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear. Garden gloves and bags will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

The more the merrier but please RSVP ahead of time so we know how much equipment to bring. You can confirm your attendance by joining this Facebook event and/or officially registering for the shoreline cleanup here: http://shorelinecleanup.ca/cleanups/y6z9p

Our cleanup site will be English Bay Beach, downtown Vancouver. Leanne will be set up behind the Cactus Club Cafe. Look for our wildlife display and our large “Northwest Wildlife Preservation Society" poster.

Although dogs are not allowed on the beach, we can assign you a close-by park area to clean if you would like to bring your pooch along!

The location is accessible by public transit. There is also pay parking in the area and plenty of spots for you to lock up a bike!

If you have access to a boat or paddleboard and wish to clean out in the ocean, that would also be fantastic!

For more info, feel free to email Leanne at outreach@northwestwildlife.com. You can also send us a message on facebook.
