INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS

In this half day workshop, we will explore the four domains of mindfulness and how they can be used to bring you to the here and now, as well as the difference between Mindfulness and Meditation. Research and applications of mindfulness will be covered so you know the, “why” however once you have been practicing Mindfulness for a little while the benefits will become clear.
We will also explore the difference between a “being” and “doing” state of mind and some triggers that can be used to bring you back to the present in times of stress or uncertainty. Mindfulness is a practical tool for busy people, especially those who believe they can’t meditate.
This workshop is a prelude to Mindful in May, a month of mindfulness, 10 minutes a day, to change your life and also potentially the lives of others. You can view more about Mindful in May here - https://www.mindfulinmay.org/
Please wear lose comfortable clothes, bring a notepad, pen and an open heart. Morning tea will be provided.
