Advanced Course of Study in Music
Aimed at professionals working with music and those new to the field (melody and keybord Instruments), this advanced course of study’s focus is the perfection of artistic skills and their connection with the main subject of improvisation in all areas of learning. One-to-one coaching complemented by individual bodywork is connected to specialised and background knowledge. The course of study imparts principles of various styles and facilitates the development of a personal musical language.
A State-Approved Course of Further Education This state-approved part-time course of further education is operated and certified by European Academy of Healing Arts (a registered charity in Germany) is eligible for state and EU grants. The certifcate is officially recognized by the ministery of education, science and culture of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
New Directions in Music Pedagogy Giving particular attention to “New Directions in Music Pedagogy”, the course focuses on self directed learning in combination with groupwork on improvisation and composition.
Teaching Staff The course is headed by Dr. Beata Seemann (keyboard instruments, improvisation, theory of music) and Klaus Holsten (melody instruments, improvisation, theory of music). The specialist teaching staff comprise
Dr. Christine Simon (composition), Cornelius Hummel (violoncello, improvisation, composition), Prof. Gerhart Darmstadt (violoncello, early music), Thomas Schallmann (movement and bodywork), Melanie Stehle (TaKeTiNa rhythm training).
Duration and Phases of Study Offered as a one year or a two year part-time programme, the course comprises 8 phases of study between June 2018 and Mai 2019. Each phase commences on a Thursday night and ends on a Sunday afternoon.
