The European Court of Auditors will publish a special report “EU support for productive investments in businesses" on Thursday 12 April at 11:30 am.
The auditors assessed whether European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) projects for productive investments in businesses had been managed in a way which ensured durability of outputs and results, and what were the main factors affecting them. They examined 41 completed productive investment projects co-financed between 2000 and 2013 in #Austria, the #CzechRepublic, #Germany, #Italy and #Poland.
The report is expected to point to a lack of emphasis on durability in the management of the past ERDF support for productive investments. The auditors are expected to make a number of recommendations to the European Commission and Member States to attain durability of results in the current programme period and improve programme design after 2020.
