Freestyle Judo 6 Week Beginner Courses for Adults and Juniors

We are excited to announce the second of our 6 week beginner courses in Freestyle Judo for 2018 with Team GB Olympian and current world Judo/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion Sophie Cox will start Wednesday 11th April! The cost is only £40 per participant for this course. All those registering will receive a brand new Judo Gi FREE of charge to keep!! Only 16 spaces are available so please book early (by messaging via this Facebook page or via e-mail at info@evademartialarts.com) to guarantee your attendance!

Junior sessions will be 6pm every Wednesday from 11th April for the duration of the 6 week course. These classes will be for children aged 8 - 13 years old.

Adult sessions will be 7pm every Wednesday from 11th April for the duration of the 6 week course. These classes will be for adults aged 14 years old and above.

What is Freestyle Judo?

A mix of Judo and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) techniques, learning styles and strategies. The best of both worlds!

What will you learn?

Throws, holds and submission techniques. Grips and footwork patterns. Judo and Brazilian Jujitsu concepts of movement, control and levers. Drills, stretches and conditioning exercises for judo and BJJ. Basic self-defence concepts.

How will you learn?

Step by step guidance through techniques. Easy to follow syllabus guide. Drills and games to improve and develop learning.

As an adult, am I too old to start, what will I gain out of training?

The beauty of Martial Arts training is that you are never too old to gain all the amazing benefits to be found from regular participation. Not only is it a fun and challenging activity, it will also hugely increase your fitness, it will aid in any weight loss/management goals you may have set yourself, your self confidence will be boosted massively and you will gain a vital understanding of self protection.

Who is this course aimed at?

New starters to the world of martial arts of Judo (or those with experience who have either not trained for a long time or never grappled). You don't need to have any prior martial arts knowledge or high level of current fitness to get going!

About the instructor - This course designed and run by Sophie Cox; 2 x Olympian and Judo 5th Dan; BJJ purple belt and high level competitor; PgDip Advanced Coaching practice; BJA level 4 coach; safe guarding and first aid qualified; advanced DBS check.
