This 4 hour handstand and flexibility workshop is a masterclass in being upside down. Catering for all people no matter what your current skills and abilities.
Whether its your first time or 100th time, come along and get involved in the most fun you can have on two hands.
The workshop itself will be Taught by the fantastic Gabby Parker and Isaac Luckstead and will be broken down in to four specific parts as follows.
4 x 45min workshops
Workshop 1 - 45mins
The real warm up. Train tracking mobility exercises that build specific flexibility and strength in the areas that relate to a semi decent handstand and build healthier shoulders.
This will take you through a journey of personal self exploration where you may say ‘holy shit I can not do that’ but the aim is that you’ll realise the utility of increasing movement functionality and therefore better your results in your physical practice in a discipline or hobby. Intuition testing with Isaac - learning how to start to FEEL areas of tightness and sensations beyond pain alone, learning and understanding these concepts carries over not only to handstand but to all aspects of life.
Workshop 2 - 45mins
An introduction to the basic anatomy of a handstand with Gabby. This will include hand position, basic understanding of external and internal rotation of the shoulder and correct alignment in your handstand, using specific strength based exercised that build intrinsic core stabilization, including a summary about why it actually matters and what you can do with it.
Workshop 3 - 45mins
The feeling of exercise with Isaac. Guiding you through a series of mobility exercises with a focus on wrists and shoulders. We will then get into some juicy RETESTING work. This is the seriously useful shit where you get up in handstand and you say ‘why the fuck can’t I make this straight line gubbins happen’ then we help you find a solution that is related to YOUR body, we do the thing, then you RETEST to see if it made a difference

Put that puzzle piece back together folks and BOOM. It’s like fucking magic. Or intelligent science and intuition…
Exercises will include, wrist extension and flexion testing, funky pec work with sticks (so we can all look fancy in photos) internal rotator work, and finally getting into those bad boys we call the latissimus dorsi.
Workshop 4 - 45mins
Building on the foundations. This is your chance to work with us more individually. We will split the group into personal struggles and offer relevant objective based guidance. We’ll be touching on some other useful shit like ‘how do I increase hip mobility so that I can look like all the guys from Ido’s gym’
We will finish off the last 5 minutes with a cheeky Q&A - a chance to ask us ALMOST anything you like that may not have been answered already. Hopefully we won’t give you any #alternativefacts like ‘handstands clear kidney stones’ or ‘foam rollers actually affect change in the tissue’
