Qigong is a self-healing art that originated in in ancient China. It combines movement, meditation, and visualizations to maintain health, prevent and treat illness, reduce stress and bring harmony to the mind, body and spirit. The word qi may be translated as "vital energy" and gong means "skill" or to exercise, to practice or to refine.
The more you practice qigong, the more qi you will have within your system and the more energetic you will feel. The exercises help make your body stronger and more supple, improve your posture, align your spine, and relax your shoulder and neck muscles. The psychological benefits are far-reaching -qigong can help stabilize your moods so that you are better able to deal with life's challenges.
Investment: $60 or $15 drop-in fee, weekly every Monday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Really enjoyed Laura’s last Quigong & Yoga sessions. Was so happy she started a Monday class. I didn’t realize how much I needed something like this, until I started to feel an amazing change in my energy level and breathing. I feel so much more balanced now. The class size is small and intimate making learning that much easier. Laura has an amazing retreat & I for one can’t wait for the outside sessions.
I enjoy the class because it gives me something for me. My body is sore the next day, but a good sore. I realized I don’t do enough stretches on my own and being part of a class is helping with that. I love the environment, and the peacefulness of the qi gong music. It’s become my second home. 💜
