Have you ever wanted to know more about your family’s history? At our Digital Drop-in event, Librarian Naomi will get you started with Ancestry Online, the world’s largest genealogy database, and offer advice on how to continue your search into the past.
This is a free workshop to anyone over the age of 16. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the session.
You can book your spot on the 11am session by following our Eventbrite link below, but be aware that places are very limited.
There's also an 2pm workshop: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/digital-drop-in-ancestry-family-history-2pm-workshop-tickets-44590001896?aff=erelpanelorg
What should I bring to the workshop?
To help you get the best out of the workshop ideally you should bring some information about your family. Having birth, marriage and death certificates for parents or grandparents is very useful. If you don't have these, even just knowing the dates can help.
If you're struggling to find this information, don’t despair. Contact us in advance and we’ll see if we can get some information to get you started.
You can call us on 012324 506800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Ancestry workshop is part of Digital Drop-in, a one-day festival of digital fun with technology where you'll get the chance to get involved with robots, gaming, coding and more. There's something for all ages!
