When students listen and respond to music, experience and produce their own original artwork, or perform together they draw upon the skill of empathy. The self esteem and self understanding of a child is built, fostered, and enriched through the arts, and art and music studios are spaces where a child can first discover, see, and feel who they truly are and what their potential can be. Join Kathryn Brower, Visual and Performing Arts Teacher, and Amy Burns, Music Teacher, to learn more about how the arts evoke empathy and build stronger social emotional learners.
All sessions are free and open to the public. An RSVP is requested, but not required. Drop-ins are always welcome to attend. Light hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served. Childcare is available during the event for toilet-trained children ages 3 and up.
