Wongkur of Chenrezi – ‘Mind of Great Compassion’
With Ian Hackett of Tig-Le Margaret River Dharma House in the creative space of Ferart Studio as part of Margaret River Region Open Studios...
Wongkur is a ceremonial meditative practice of the Tibetan Vajrayana. A form of sacred art and theatre of the mind and heart, an imaginative and creative exploration of the principles of the human enlightenment potential.
There are many expressions of awakening, principles that support how to live with increasing capacity for compassion. The Wongkur enshrines these awakened thoughts into memory through creative response. Mindfulness is the means to approach the practice in a clear way.
Chenrezi is an archetypical form representing all the many expressions of compassion in the world. The many efforts of compassion, the great and the seemingly small, all contribute to compassion in the world. The practice of Chenrezi encourages compassionate aspiration, and support for the efforts and work of compassionate activity in the world.
During the ceremony there is opportunity to participate in creative activity in response to the practice.
Please feel free to bring a white flower, stay on after for a cuppa, wander through and see the art works & bring a picnic lunch if you'd like.
Donations are appreciated to support the practice...
