At the slide guitar workshop he will go over the basics, including the types of slides used in playing and the different sounds you can create. He will also spend time on how to open tune your guitar for slide playing and will go over blues and pentonic scales. At the end of the workshop participants will have the information they need to play slide guitar.
Robert will be playing with Katie Jane Lubiens as Castletown on Friday, May 4, in a special fundraising concert for Fiddler's Dream. Advance admission to the workshop for concert attendees is $10. Admission will be $12 at the door. Doors for the slide guitar workshop open at 1:30pm. (The fiddle workshop with Katie will be just finishing up at 1:30pm!)
