Just in time for Mothers' Day, join HANDS in New York City for the chance to browse unique gifts handmade by women in Egypt!
Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is kindly hosting our May sale of handicrafts made by artisans at one of HANDS' partner organizations, the Association for the Protection of the Environment (APE). This is a transformative job skills training program for women from Cairo's garbage collector community, who learn weaving, quilting, embroidery and other marketable skills. Their handicrafts are made from clean, recycled materials, and proceeds support the school and provide increased opportunities for women in the community.
All are welcome. Please bring a friend!
Date: May 8th and 9th from noon to 7 p.m. each day
