Wednesdays in April feature two Level 2 Blues Dance classes, back-to-back at 7:30 and 8:30.
Level 2 Blues Idiom: Savoy Walk with Amanda
April 4, 11, 18, 25 at 7:30pm
It's time to revisit one of our favorite ballroomin' idioms. We love the flash and style of this dance, and in this 4-week course, students can expect to improve their use of Savoy Walk basic rhythms as they add in fun moves to match the musical changes of such dynamic songs!
Level 2 Blues Concepts: Hips Hips Hips with Amanda
April 4, 11, 18, 25 at 8:30pm
The name says it all, right? We will take a little time to review movements from our hip-centric dances (think fishtail, funky butt, mooch, grind, four-corners), but this series will be more focused on adding hips in for style, AND making it look good! Maybe you want to add some understated attitude to your step-touch, or maybe you want to really show off in a rotation. However the music moves you, you'll gain better control over your musical hip choices while staying more connected with your base-movement and your partner.
Classes are $60 each for the month long series, when you register in advance, or you can get a Blues Level 2 membership that gives you access to all Level 2 Blues dance classes for three months.
Students need to have either taken a previous Level 1 series class, taken at least one boot-camp, taken an entire weekend workshop, OR have permission from Emily or Amanda.
The classes will be progressive, and students should speak with Amanda or Emily if they have to miss the first and/or second week.
