“Brightness of Noon: The Intersect of Faith, Immigration and Refugees” is a two-part documentary that illuminates the risks people of faith are willing to take to protect the human rights of those fleeing violence, and the struggles and triumphs of undocumented immigrants and refugees as they resettle in the United States. Part one, which focuses on undocumented immigrants, will be shown at 4 p.m. in the Fireside Room at First Lutheran Church, on Sunday April 8, 2018. The 60-minute film will be followed by a short discussion time with local immigrant advocates, Melissa O’Rourke and Ruth Palmer. A free-will offering will support legal and other assistance for local families. View the documentary trailer here: https://youtu.be/6M4zF8KQVnQ
