“#MeToo” and Beyond: Women Walking their Path with Power:
This collaborative service will focus on issues around women's power including the power to retain control of their own bodies and power to have agency in the world equivalent to the agency of men. How does a woman walk freely in this world? What can we all do to help each other and to help #women be free without fear? This service has been created and will be co-led by congregants and Rev. Rebecca.
This service is designed for adults and includes challenging information and testimony. Please take care of yourself. Chaplains will be available during and after the service. Please join us in Dana for a talk back after the service with Rev. Rebecca, the planning team, @Anna Borroz, Housing and Family Advocate at Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry (UUUM) and Eliza Campbell, Community Engagement Specialist, Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC). Please feel free to reach out to Rev. Rebecca or a member of the planning team at any point in the days following this service. You are not alone!
First Parish in Brookline gives away their entire plate offering once each month. The offering this day will be split between BARCC and UUUM.
