Hear Our Plans - Feel Our Passion
Be part of the solution to an urgent issue threatening the integrity of the human race. The First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hills has taken a stand on the plight of immigrants and refugees. If you share our anger over the lack of humanitarian concern for peoples fleeing poverty, violence and persecution, please join our growing Queens-based voice as part of the newly-formed formed Interfaith Immigrant Action Coalition. The group takes its inspiration from visionary pastor, Jack Lohr, whose placing of the banner announcing “Immigrants and Refugees Welcome” over the church door has served as a beacon to attract caring souls in the community.
On May 5th, the IIAC will host an awareness-building pep rally to garner support for a larger Together We Stand fundraiser in the fall.
