Artist Maureen Harvey's show, "There But for the Grace of God: Art and Conversation About Death in the County Jail, is a must-see. She writes, "I saw the faces of “19 people who died in prison” in the Daily Oklahoman in April of 2017. As long as I see prisoners as the “other” I don’t have to imagine their pain and despair. Instead I was compelled to paint these faces as a way of connecting to their humanity. They speak to me; what do they say to you?"
