Three STOTT Pilates workshops held 1st May 2018 @ Fit4Life Pilates starting at 10.30 am and finishing 5.30pm. Presented by Amy Van Dooremalen.
STOTT PILATES® Total Barre Endurance Level 2
We are “raising the barre” by adding even more neuromuscular challenge to coordination learned in Level 1. Following the class template from the Foundation Course, balance and strength exercises now use a number of props such as Handweights or Toning Balls™, Foam Rollers and Ankle Tubing to help challenge and bump up the strength and calorie burning results. Working in a continuous flow to keep the heart rate elevated, a recommended play list of music is provided, as well as suggested beats per minute for each segment.
Apply the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES method
Understand movement essence and exercise goals.
Understand how modifications increase exercise intensity and develop muscular endurance.
Learn cues and corrections for safety and effectiveness when cueing to music
Learn the basis to teach this pre-programmed class.

STOTT PILATES - Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer, Level 3
This high-level workshop developed by the Merrithew™ team, is an intense athletic-based program. Discover how the Reformer can function like a traditional fitness tool as opposed to strictly facilitating Pilates moves. The Reformer Box is featured to assist exercises that reflect sport-specific drills from football, track, swimming, gymnastics rowing etc. This programming is perfect for very fit and accomplished sports enthusiasts.
Apply the Five Basic Principles of STOTT PILATES® to conditioning exercises on the Reformer.
Understand when and how these moves can be incorporated in an intensive workout.
Learn how to replicate many sport-specific moves with spring-resistance.
Discover how to challenge strength, mobility and control on the Reformer.

STOTT Pilates - Reformer with Fitness Circle
In this workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team, learn how the Fitness Circle® brings variety and challenge into group or private Reformer settings. Add more challenge to adductors and abductors of the peripheral limbs as well as assist in activating the core. The Fitness Circle® resistance ring reinforces correct muscle firing patterns and helps ensure correct positioning while adding an element of fun and variety to each workout.
Understand how the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles apply to exercises using the Reformer and Fitness Circle.
Discover how the Fitness Circle can be used in innovative movement sequences.
Utilize the resistance ring to increase challenge to upper and lower body respectively.
Learn how to incorporate these movements into a complete Reformer workout to create variety and challenge
