Audition time and date: 7 p.m. Thurs., June 21 and 7 p.m. Fri., June 22; choose one

Callbacks: If needed, callbacks will be 2 p.m. June 23. Actors will be asked to attend callbacks per request at auditions.

Location: Fitton Center for Creative Arts, 101 S. Monument Ave., Hamilton

Character needs: All ages, ethnicities, and genders sought
Preparation: Auditioners should prepare 1 to 1.5 minutes of a musical theatre selection that shows vocal and acting range. Headshots appreciated but not required.

​​NEW! "Assassins" will be performed at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, 101 S. Monument Ave., Hamilton, in the Fitton Family Theater. This is a Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre show — the organization is working in collaboration with the Fitton Center in honor of its 25th anniversary.

Synopsis: An award-winning musical telling the story of the nine individuals who assassinated or attempted to assassinate an American president. The historic killers come together to interact and tell their tale.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES

American Ensemble: Greek chorus of 4-6 strong character actors/singers to play 100+ roles from every American time period. Seeking performers of all voice types capable of strong characterization and comedic timing. Dance ability or special talents/instrument playing a plus.

The Proprietor: Male or Female. Vocal range top- F4, bottom- Gb2.
Ageless. Mysterious. Seductive. Charisma of a circus ringmaster.

The Balladeer: Male or Female. Age 18-35. Vocal range top- G4, bottom- C3
The American everyman. Narrator of the action. Youthful. Witty.

John Wilkes Booth: Male. Age 25-40. Vocal range top- G4, bottom- F2
The American pioneer of assassination. Vainglorious. Charismatic. Proficient with genteel southern accent a plus.

Charles Guiteau: Male or Female. Age 30-55. Vocal range top-Ab4, bottom- A2
Charming. Friendly. A murdering madman.

Leon Csolgosz: Male. Age 25-45. Vocal range top-G4, bottom-G#2
Angry. Brooding. Poverty worn-radical.
Giuseppe Zangara: Male or female. Age 25-45. Vocal range top- A4, bottom- B2Enraged. Frantic. Driven to insanity by chronic pain. Proficient with Italian accent a plus.

Sam Byck: Male or female. Age 35-55. Vocal range top- G4, bottom-D3
Strong actor/improviser. Comedic timing and turn on a dime temper tantrums.

Sara Jane Moore: Female. Age 30-55. Vocal range top-Eb5, bottom- F3
Frazzled. Medicated. In her own reality. Comedic timing a must.

John Hinckley: Male. Age 18-35. Vocal range top-G4, bottom- A2
Depressed. Delusional. Desperate for affection.
