The intent of this workshop is to gain knowledge and practice yoga to counteract certain overworked muscle groups. Muscle imbalances can occur and Yoga can balance out the effects your sport has on your body. Regular practice keeps the muscles limber and active which helps prevent injuries and chronic pain.I follow a three part workout: Warm-up, Work phase (poses and flow-series), followed by deep and relaxing stretches. An increase in flexibility, balance, muscle strength, better body tone, reduced stress, and an increase in body awareness are just some of the benefits of consistent yoga practice. Yoga For Runners is for all levels and is practiced with bare feet on a yoga mat. RSVP/bring a yoga mat/and enjoy the mind/body connection!
