Nicholas Conley is a novelist, playwright, journalist, world traveler, and coffee vigilante. His passion for storytelling began at an early age, prompted by a love of science fiction novels, comic books, and horror movies. His novel Pale Highway, the winner of the 2015 Preditors & Editors Award for Best Science Fiction & Fantasy Novel, was influenced by his real life experience working with Alzheimer's patients in a nursing home. He has written for Vox, Truthout, the Huffington Post, Dictionary.com, Grunge.com, and Screen Rant. His original radio play Something in the Nothing was performed live on the Portsmouth radio station WSCA 106.1 FM in 2016, and his newest novel, Intraterrestrial, is a surreal fusion of science fiction, otherworldly aliens, and the painful medical realities of a traumatic brain injury.

Though he's lived in many places, and traveled to many more, Nicholas currently lives on the New Hampshire seacoast, where he can be easily spotted due to his trademark Hawaiian shirts. When he's exploring new worlds — whether real or fictional — he is always fueled by a good cup of black coffee. He can be found online at www.NicholasConley.com.

Adam Helios is a bully magnet without many friends. When he starts hearing a voice that claims to come from the stars, he fears he’s losing his mind, so he withdraws even further. On the way home from a meeting at the school, he and his parents are involved in a horrible car crash. With his skull cracked open, Adam’s consciousness is abducted by the alien who has been speaking to him for months. After surviving the wreck with only minor scratches, Camille Helios must deal with her guilt over the accident that left her husband badly injured and her son in a coma. When the doctor suggests letting Adam go, Camille refuses to stop fighting for her son’s life. Lost among galaxies, Adam must use his imagination to forge a path home before his body dies on the operating table. But even if he does return to Earth, he may end up locked inside a damaged brain forever.
