LEVEL 3 EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK : 1 DAY COURSE
This fully-accredited course is run by United Safe Care, part of the charity Diagrama Foundation, at our training centre in Chatham. To mark the launch of our training service we are offering this course at a significantly discounted rate to the first 12 learners.
WHY DO I NEED THIS?
Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW FIRST?
This is an entry-level course and can form unit 1 of the three-day FAA First Aid at Work qualification. Learners can progress from this to completing unit 2 and being awarded the FAA First Aid at Work qualification.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aiders that can deliver treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
A range of subjects are covered including:
Responsibilities and reporting
Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Basic hygiene in First Aid
Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day. A three year Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 6 in Scotland) will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. No external assessors are required.
All learners will receive a certificate of attendance, which is included in the course fee. Should you require a certificate of qualification, please note there will be an additional charge of £10 per learner.
