The 2018 Florida Dance Festival is set to kick off June 15-23 at the University of South Florida School of Theatre and Dance. The festival brings together choreographers, dancers, teachers, and performers to take classes in a collaborative and non-competitive environment. This year The Festival will be offering the following courses:

Jennifer Archibald - Hip Hop Technique, Hip Hop Repertory
Albena Arnaudova - Ballet
Doug Gillespie - Modern, Modern Repertory, Yoga
Heidi Henderson - Improvisation, Repertory
Mohamed DaCosta - West African Dance and Song, West African Repertory
Bliss Kohlmyer - Modern*, Modern Repertory
*(Classes are open to intermediate or advanced dance students with at least two years of modern dance.)

Internship are available! The Florida Dance Festival (FDF) invites mature applications, 18 or older, who have the necessary skills to assist in FDF operations. Internship Applications are found on the website and due by March 30th, 2018

Tuition waiver for teachers! Tuition fees will be waived for teachers from schools or studios who accompany 7 or more students to the Florida Dance Festival. Students must be registered as full time for the Festival (Full time is 4 classes per day and no student overlap is allowed.)

Moving Current / NewGrounds Choreographic Residency at the Florida Dance Festival is dedicated to fostering the creation of new work. As the Choreographer in Residence, artists receive on campus housing, rehearsal space, mentoring, classes at the festival, and a full public performance of their work. Choreographers are selected by a panel of dance professionals based on the artistic excellence of the work samples submitted. If you are accepted there is a fee of $250, paid by May 25. Application deadline is April 6, 2018.

Florida Dance Festival continues to provide some of the best training in variety of dance genres, top notch performances and opportunities to present work in a professional setting at one of the top dance facilities in the state.
