#Yin, restore & more with Malabika
You are invited to share in this nourishing session which combines Yin / Restorative Yoga with Yoga Nidra. In Yin/Restorative Yoga, fascia expanding alongside soothing, resting poses are held for 5-10 minutes each, while you are supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks. As the body’s connective tissue opens and relaxation response is activated, deeper levels of stress and anxiety can begin to transform. Then, you will be guided through stages of relaxation in a Yoga Nidra practice. This guided meditation can enhance sleep, manage chronic pain, balance the nervous system, and help to heal trauma. Practiced together, Yin/Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra can induce peacefulness and body-mind-spirit well-being.

#Malabika Das, PhD, MSW, RYT, is a clinical social worker and Yoga Alliance-registered instructor, specializing in yin and yang yoga. She combines Eastern and Western modalities of healing to work with stress and trauma related issues. She seeks to spread yoga and wellness throughout the community. She offers individual and group yoga and wellness sessions. She aims to make yoga more accessible as she volunteers her services for schools and organizations. She is a lover of nature and universal energies.
