Busadee Santipitaks has been director general of the information department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more than a year. She joined the foreign ministry in 1986, and has had postings to New York in Thailand's permanent mission to the United Nations, and in Brussels in the permanent mission to the European Union. She served as deputy director general of the department of ASEAN affairs from 2012 to 2015, and then joined the permanent mission of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta as minister and deputy permanent representative.

Director General Busadee was born in 1964, and received her BA (Hons) in English from the University of New Delhi in 1985. As a recipient of the Japan-ASEAN Scholarship, she completed her MA in law and diplomacy in the US in 1990 at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

The FCCT is pleased to welcome Director General Busadee and members of her team to the clubhouse on Friday 30 March at 6.30 pm. This an opportunity to hear about the information department's work, its concerns and interests.
