Co-Sponsorship Program for Special Events and Projects

The Franklin County Visitor Center is happy to announce the opening of our co-sponsorship program for special events and projects that impact tourism in Franklin County. The Franklin County Tourism Selection Committee will be responsible for recommending award recipients to the County Commissioners. The Money awarded is for the promotion of the activity. Completed applications for the 2018 season will be due by 5:00 pm on Friday April 27th to the Franklin County Visitors Center. We anticipate announcing the awards by May 21st.

The selection committee is looking for specific things as they evaluate each application.
-Is the evet open to the public?
-Does the event promote tourism?
-How will the requested funds be used to invest back in to the county?
How does the event benefit the county/community?

Upon Completion of your event or project, you will be required to complete and returen a one-page event completion form. Failure to return this completed form will result in ineligibility to receive co-sponsporship funding in subsequent years.

The Franklin County Visitor Center staff will gladly assist you in helping promote your event into a successful venture for your organization and all of Franklin County. We can do that by displaying flyers in the Center and putting the information on oiur website and Facebook page.
