Biodynamics is one of the most successful forms of holistic, regenerative agriculture of modern times. It works with the earth elements to maintain and increase soil fertility and it also recognises the relationship between plant growth and the rhythm of the cosmos. A series of ‘biodynamic preparations’, based on mineral, plant and animal substances are used to support the life in the soil, enhancing all bacterial, fungal and mineral processes valued in the farming system.
We are very happy to be hosting a workshop for people interested in learning how to implement these practices in their own situation. It will be hands on learning and we will be making the Horn Manure Preparation 500 which we bury in soil over winter. We will also demonstrate stirring and application methods and will finish the morning with a farm walk.
If you want to learn more about biodynamics and how simple it is to implement in your own farming or gardening system, we would love to have you join us for the morning. No experience necessary, just come with an open mind and an attitude for learning and sharing. This event is suitable for both home gardeners and farmers and we encourage those interested to bring the family and network with like-minded people. Feel free to contact us if you would like to know more.
