On April 13th Fridaynite will host ‘The thin line between performance and performing arts‘

Over the last years, the world of performing arts has been expanding and crossing over several mediums. Interaction has become more and more important in the works, shifting the role of the spectator from passive to active.

When thinking about performing arts and performance art it is hard to find what defines them and makes them different from each other. Is it the setting? The context? The relation with audience?

During this evening we will see performances that touch upon this questions and we will think and reflect upon them.

The program includes live performances by Hinke-Ann Eleveld, Angelos Messios, Karlijn Hamer, Vilius Vaitiekūnas and Poetic Disasters Club.

Next to the performances, there will be guest speakers open for informal talks, aiming to discuss and reflect together with the audience, topics related to what they just saw, experience and think about performance and performing arts.

Guest speakers include: Daphne Verberg, Eleftheria Ioannidou, Michiel Johannes Jansen, Natalia Sliwowska, Mark Liberman and Jan van Egmond.

For a better experience, we suggest being present from the beginning to not miss out anything and make the best of the evening!

Doors open at 17:00hs and the program will start at 17:30hs sharp.
Free entry; fries and salad for €1
