Guitar whisperer, Willy Porter, returns solo to the FHC living room on Sunday, April 8th. His playing is incredible and showmanship ALWAYS entertaining. Willy has been a regular at FHC for over a decade for an obvious reason - he is a world class artist. We would continue to gush, but here's some insight into what critics say about him:
“Thank goodness he doesn’t play the flute.“
— Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull
“Porter is a dazzling acoustic guitarist with a moody baritone…“
— The Washington Post
“Willy plays rhythms that make me want to crawl inside his guitar and sleep there forever.“
— Tori Amos
“Willy Porter captures the street corner ethic of acoustic performance perfectly.“
— The Village Voice
I SO echo Tori Amos' comment! For us - he will always be the intense friend that shows up yearly to grace the house with music & conversation and just leaves us anticipating next year's show. There is no better way to start the week - Sunday night with Willy!
All our guests bring something to share - either a beverage or an appetizer. Doors open 45 minutes prior to the concert. See you up on the hill!
