Celebrate Earth Day with Friends of Panthertown Valley with an Earth Day Weekend Trail Cleanup & Hike! Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary. Tools will be provided. It's a great way to give back and have fun!
Friends of Panthertown and students from WCU PRM invite you to join us over Earth Day weekend for a fun half-day of hiking and easy trail work along Rattlesnake Knob Trail in Panthertown Valley on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm (9:00am meet up on campus for WCU students). Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary, and tools are provided. This is a great way to give back and get community service learning hours.
Volunteers should sign-up first, then meet at the trailhead at 10am, or on campus at 9am at the parking lot across the street from the WCU Ramsey Center in Creek Lot #9C to carpool and caravan. Wear good shoes, bring lunch to enjoy on the trail, and plenty of water. There will be an opportunity to continue exploring Panthertown overlooks and waterfalls later in the day.
