Do you or anyone you know, or anyone in your family, struggle with addiction? Booze, drugs, pills, food, bingeing, purging, restricting, shopping, gambling, work, phones, computers, screens, gaming, relationships, sex, how many 'likes' your Facebook or Instagram post got (or didn't), emotions, negative thoughts, fear, anxiety, depression, OCD..., and the list goes on and on -- any outside substance or habitual way of being, when used to satisfy an obsession of the mind and a craving of the body, is called addiction. So, what do we do when those addictions start to become harmful and stop working? Because they do, they always do. What then?! Yoga! That's what! If you feel emptier than you did before you picked up your substance of choice, it's time to do something about it and Yoga is one of the things I have found, and so many have found, to live an addiction free, clean and serene life. Each class will be themed around addiction to help identify and remove the blocks in the body keeping you from the person you always dreamed of being but are forgetting how to be. It's the human condition -- to grab stuff, from the outside in, to numb our pain, to feel better. So please don't be ashamed. Don't be scared. You're human. Forgive yourself, because we don't care ‘why the addiction?’ We just want to know, “why the pain?’ Get out of your head and into your body and come to this Fuel 60 class to experience how yoga can heal your hole in the soul too. All donations support Fuel Hot Yoga's with One Posture at a Time, a non-profit 501c3 PureAction HQ, to bring yoga to those in and out of recovery. Suggested donation $10 but any is greatly appreciated.
