With the greatest of ease, the simplest of props, and all the whacky wardrobe you can wrangle, join in on the fun in the Circus School of Lancaster's Clown Inner Beauty Pageant. Enter as a group (family of clowns!), or solo, to delight the audience and dazzle with your personality and panache.
Contestants will be asked to participate in three categories of the pageant.
Clowns will be asked to answer a series of open ended questions by the judges so the audience can get to know them better. Some sample questions for you to ponder:
When was the last time you saw an exploding head of lettuce?
How lucky are you on Wednesdays, and why?
What is your greatest achievement?
Bring out your flea circus, your rubber band workout routines, feather balancing acts, clown symphonies, cat choirs, dance numbers, and tricks that almost always go wrong! This is your chance to shine, you sweet and lovable goofballs.
What does formal wear mean to a clown? Bring the duds that fit the bill and get ready to walk the runway in style!
This contest is open to clowns ages 4 and up. Group and solo acts will be judged separately and prizes will be awarded for both. A group photo op will follow the Formal Wear category, and prizes will be awarded shortly thereafter.
