Our nation is in the midst of challenging times. Charles Dickens would describe these perilous times as ‘the best of times and the worst of times.’ There appears to be too few opportunities of togetherness which are essential to these turbulent times. In an attempt to offer hope and love, First United Methodist Church Hammond in partnership with Beacon Light Baptist Church of Hammond, will be hosting A Celebration of Humanity (COH) at First United Methodist Church 2200 Rue Denise, Hammond on Saturday, April 21st at 6:00 pm.

A Celebration of Humanity (COH) is a service that addresses the differences and commonalities that people share. This ecumenical program celebrates a youth orchestra, a combined choir, liturgical dancing, a variety of affirmative readings, and so much more. We want you to join because ‘This Is Us.’

We have many programmatic needs such as singers for the combined choir. Won’t you please join us? For more information please contact either Celina Echols 985/634-0844 or Spiller Milton, 985/345-4587.
