We, the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., invite you to join us on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Hall of Heroes Community Room at the Gainesville Police Department, located at 545 NW 8th Avenue. We present a workshop entitled "Restoration of Civil Rights & Second Chances: A Discussion on the Proposed Constitutional Amendment". This informative session is being sponsored by two partnering organizations, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Gainesville Alumnae Chapter and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Zeta Alumnae Chapter. This is another event under our "Collaboratively Woke" initiative! The workshop will feature a panel of dynamic speakers, which includes, Stephanie Marchman, esq., Meson Rawls, esq., Dr. Karen Cole-Smith and Mr. Terrill Gardner. They will discuss the proposed amendment in simple lay person language so that you are well informed when you step into the voter's booth in November. They will also talk about how this amendment may affect our community and we will hear a testimony about how be given a second chance can change a life in the better. A flyer is attached for your review. Please share this information with all your contacts. We look forward to seeing you at this event. Please call Yvette Carter or Gwendolyn Saffo at (352) 577-8159 for further information.
