Come spend an exciting time learning about the necessities required – as well as the adventures – of long distance hiking in the winter on the lower section of the Pacific Crest Trail – from the Mexican border to Idyllwild, California – with former mountaineer and current long-distance hiker Peter Tremayne. Peter has climbed a number of the more difficult mountains around the globe, including Denali in Alaska and the 21,500’ Mera Peak in Nepal. But it is his desire to remain fit at age 79 with his bionic knees that has led him to hike the 215 mile John Muir Trail for the past 14 years from Yosemite National Park to the summit of Mount Whitney. Come learn the “ins and outs” of being prepared to make this type of long distancehike as Peter shares his knowledge for making your next successful hike.
