Volunteers needed! In cooperation with the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site the Gallery@112 is making and donating 600 small clay horse figures to be distributed to area schools for children to paint and eventually display at the Park Headquarters west of Cheyenne, OK in late November 2018. This display is to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Gen.Custer's raid on Chief Blackkettle's band of Cheyenne Indians at that site. The 600 horses are a reminder of the 600 Indian ponies slaughtered during that raid. We need help cuttiing out the clay horses. Using horse cookie cutters volunteers will cut out the figures and prepare them for the kiln. Older children are welcome to help with this.
