Join us starting Friday, April 13th at 6pm for our next exhibition, Sacred Luminosity 2: Shakti - The Goddesses Amongst Us. Please RSVP for your ticket while space allows!
Enjoy the beautiful prints by Anshula Tayal and paintings by Tara Boirard, who will both be in attendance. Their artwork focuses on the divine feminine energy which was once integral to ancient belief systems.
Themes of empowerment, struggle, beauty, warmth, strength and more will be on display.
The artists approach this representation of the godliness in femininity from their unique perspectives. Anshula, originally from India and now residing in Portland, Oregon, portrays Shakti as solar and feminine energy, as well as the beginning point of existence.
Tara, a New Yorker and daughter of acclaimed Haitian artists Carl Boirard, focuses on Shakti as a symbol of strength and change. She depicts Shakti as a child of Africa, from the slave ships which participated in the ‘most horrific experience in human history’ to a child finding joy in the midst of industrial decay.
‘Sacred Luminosity 2: Shakti – The Goddesses Amongst Us’ opens on Friday, April 13th at 6pm and will run until Friday, May 25th, 2018. Please RSVP your ticket now!
