All ages are welcome to the event! Play! Pokémon divides players into three different age groups depending on their year of birth at the start of tournament season. Your age division will not change, no matter your age, until the next tournament season.

Junior Division: Born 2006 or later
Senior Division: Born 2002-2005
Masters Division: Born 2001 or earlier

You will not have to bring your own deck to play! At the start of the tournament, players will receive a new Prerelease deck that contains four packs of Forbidden Light, one 22-card evolution pack containing evolution lines from past and present sets, one alternate art promo card, and a deck building tip sheet. Players will build a 40 card deck out of the cards they pull from those packs as well as the evolution pack. Basic energy will be provided at the event. All Basic Energy cards borrowed must be returned at the end of the event. After turning in your Basic Energy cards, all players will receive three (3) additional packs as a participation prize. Players must complete all three (3) rounds of play to receive the three (3) additional packs. Players are responsible for bringing appropriate coins, dice, markers, damage counters or other materials necessary for play.

The tournament will be age-modified swiss. There will be three (3) rounds total with players allowed 20 minutes per round. Keep in mind that due to players using a 40 card deck, all players will play with four (4) prize cards instead of the usual six (6).
