Join us this Saturday to discuss Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad-gita.
This week's topic:
Chapter 2: Who and What Am I?
Key Word: Identity
This week, we'll discuss our reading of chapter 2 of the Bhagavad-gita. If you haven't had the chance to get a gita yet and you'd like to join us, you can read the first chapter on the Vedabase at the link here: http://www.vedabase.com/en/bg/2
Before you come to class, please try to get the chapter and purports read, and take some time to reflect in your journal on the question, key word, and what they mean to you. Your journal is for you first, but it'll help drive our discussion if you already have ideas ready to discuss.
During our meeting, we'll discuss your reading and thoughts on the chapter. After our discussion, we'll sing kirtan (the holy names of God) and share prasadam (blessed food).
If you'd like to bring something to share for prasadam, please be sure it's free of meat, eggs, and fish. We prefer it be free of onions and garlic as well, but that's not a requirement.
I've attached a copy of the class syllabus to the event for you to review if you didn't get a copy. I will also have copies with me when we meet on Saturday, if you'd like a hard copy version. Eventually, previous chapter discussions will also be available on SoundCloud.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
