In order to practice yoga as outlined by Patanjali, we want to encourage our students to commit themselves to a thoughtful, continuous practice. To best accomplish this, we are now offering 6 week sessions. Students are highly encouraged (but not required) to attend every class during their session.
Ashtanga yoga is extremely popular and inspires fierce loyalty in its students. This vigorous, athletic style of practice appeals to those who like a sense of order and who like to do things independently.
Asthanga Vinyasa was developed by K. Pattabhi Jois. The primary series, also called Yoga Therapy, is intended to realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility, and stamina. Poses are taught in sequential order and are the same for every class, every time. However, no two classes ever feel the same in the body or the mind.
In this session learn the foundations to breath, poses and alignment. Small class size and one-one-on in-depth instruction with Christince guarantees you confidence and ease in your yoga journey.
