Igino Giovanni Brunori and Virginia Nicoli of Samvad are an innovative musical duo crafting new sounds from ancient materials. Their performances are meditative journeys through a rich landscape of melody and rhythm, using bansuri (Indian bamboo flute), silver flute and saxophone. They play with tabla or pakhawaj (drums) and love to collaborate with musicians from all over the world.
In whatever arrangement, Samvad’s original compositions and improvisations are founded on the most rigorous traditions of Indian Classical music, Dhrupad.

Ciro Montanari :
In 2003 Ciro began his study of Indian percussion tabla, under Pandit Maestro Sankha Chatterjee, a former professor at the University Kolkata Rabindra Bharat (India) and attended the Conservatory Arrigo Pedrollo Vicenza courses on "Non-European Musical traditions, Indology", under the guidance of tabla maesto Federico Sanesi. Frequently he plays with famous musician in India and as well in Europe. He lives in Spain and collaborating with many different world musician.

Om Prakash Pandey is tabla player from Varanasi. He completed his master degree in tabla at Banaras Hindu University. Parallel to his formal education, Om Prakash continued to explore his instrument in a traditional way („guru shishya tradition“) under the guidance of maestro Chhote Lal Misra. Since 2003, when he moved to Germany, he started touring with some famous indian musicians, playing on a several world music projects and recording music for 3 movies. Today he is living in Rovinj with his family and working in Yoga centar Sadhana as a tabla player and therapist.
