We invite you to join us for our 3rd Sunday of the month community singing circle. This circle offers us a space to weave into sound what we dream for the world. When we join our voices in song we can bring beauty and healing to ourselves, the earth and all her creatures.
To stay updated with impromtu and monthly sings, join the Roanoake Community Sing Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/173344573274337/
We welcome everyone who feels called to sing, no matter their age or experience with singing. We will lead songs with the group, but welcome participants to do the same or to request songs for our group to learn. Types of songs we may explore include rounds, chants, call and response, improvisational and free form vocal expression. We will sing both modern and traditional songs and ones we make up together. Harmonies are welcome throughout. We will focus our circle on our voices, but invite instruments if they complement or support our singing.
This event is free, but we encourage participants to contribute to the pay it forward board to help support those who need a nourishing meal or warm drink.
