Paula Braveman, MD, MPH is Professor of Family and
Community Medicine and Director of the Center on Social Disparities inHealth at the University of California, San Francisco. For over three decades she has studied and published extensively on health disparities and health equity and worked with local, state, national, and international health agencies to bring attention to these issues domestically and internationally. Her research focuses on measuring, understanding, and addressing socioeconomic and racial/ethnic disparities in health, particularly in maternal and infant health. She was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2002.
Dr. Leonard Oestreicher, MD is a family medicine specialist
in Merced, CA and has a special interest in Autism and Autism
Spectrum Disorders. As author of "The Pied Pipers of Autism", Dr. Oestreicher believes in taking care of each patient as if he or she were a family member and in line with current medical knowledge.
