Lunar Exploration Night

Get Directions

#var:page_name# cover

On our Lunar Exploration nights, we like to get you up close and personal with the moon! On these evenings, you will see dark basalt plains such as the Sea of Tranquillity where Apollo 11 landed; and the bright prominent crater of Tycho with its ejecta lines, formed by a relatively recent massive impact on the lunar surface.

We'll also be able to show you other targets, such as clusters and globular clusters.

We might even be able to get you a photo of the moon on your phone, using one of our telescopes!
