Anthony Dwayne Boynton is a doctoral student in English at the University of Kansas. Boynton is a native of Columbus, Georgia who holds a B.A in English from Fort Valley State University and M.A. in English from Georgia College (c/o '16). His scholastic inquiries study race, gender, and class as they interact with literature, film, and popular culture, with a concern to black masculinities, intersectional thinking and work, and social justice. He is the lead editor of the 4:44 Syllabus, a living document created by black people across spectrums of gender and sexuality to articulate ideas found in Jay-Z 2017 summer album.
