On Saturday, April 21, Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan’s Ypsilanti Regional Center will be hosting Comcast Cares Day. The event will bring together local Comcast employees, their families and friends—along with area Girl Scouts and GSHOM staff—to sort and pack food for those in need, headed up by Kids Coalition Against Hunger. Volunteers will also help clean and beautify the area around the Regional Center.
The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at the GSHOM Ypsilanti Regional Center, located at 444 James L. Hart Parkway, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Volunteers receive a continental breakfast, lunch, and a Comcast Cares Day t-shirt. This is a great opportunity for troops looking to add to their community service hours and activities.
A waiver form is needed, for adults and girls, and can be emailed to Chris Anderson at email@example.com . You can also get the form from the Comcast Cares website, but you have to register as a guest to access the form.
