Open Codes Summer Coding Workshops for Kids

We're happy to announce a series of Saturday Summer Workshops for kids, on coding, gaming and 3d modelling. These expert-led workshops in association with Curiosity Gym, are based around our exhibition Open Codes. Digital Culture Techniques and provide young children with the first steps to creating with digital mediums and technology.

All workshops will begin with a guided tour around the exhibition so participants are inspired to understand and create using digital techniques.
Registration and handling fees for each workshop is Rs. 500/-

Saturday, April 7
11:30 - 1:00 pm: 3D Doodling
Participants will learn to use 3D pens and create objects of their own design! Curiosity Gym will provide 3D doodlers and related material.
Min 10, max 20 participants, age: 9+

Saturday, April 28
11:30 - 1:00 pm: Code your own 3D printed object
Participants will learn to write simple code to generate a CAD model of an object, after which participants will be introduced to the process of 3D Printing.
Each participant to bring their laptop, Curiosity Gym will provide access to the necessary software.
Min10, max 15 participants, age: 14+

Gamified Cryptography
In a gamified manner participants will learn the basics of cryptography and it’s history as a method of sending secret messages.
Materials Provided.
Min 10, max 20 participants, age: 12+

Saturday, May 26
11:30 - 1:00 pm:
Gamified Cryptography
Participants will learn the basics of blockchain and play an interactive game that prompts individuals to think how blockchains can be used to revolutionize the secure information age. They will then participate in a design thinking workshop on how Blockchain can be used to help society
