In this workshop we will explore how activating our core will help make your yoga practice more fluid and balanced. A strong core isn’t just about a flat tummy but about creating stability, strength and balance throughout the whole body to enable freedom of movement. While the idea of a 2 hr long Core Yoga Workshop can be a bit daunting this class will teach you how to properly and intelligently engage our core muscle groups. I will offer detailed explanation and guidance as well as variations so everyone can work to their own depth.
Besides the physical aspects of core strength, we will further explore the energetic and emotional benefits of core awareness. Staying connected to the center of our bodies and our gut feeling, will support us in staying more grounded in confidence and personal strength.
This class includes lecture, breath work, strengthening postures and stretching, restorative yoga & relaxation.

Note: This is a mixed level class with variations offered for different poses. But some Yoga experience is recommended. If you have a back injury this class may not be appropriate.
