BIKE MONTH: Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens Ride

#BikeMetro to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens for Metro Bike Month, and enjoy FREE admission to the grounds!

The family-friendly, casually-paced ride will start at the Allen Gold Line Station and travel to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. Once at the Huntington Library attendees will be free to explore the grounds at their leisure. Those wishing to ride back with the group will reconvene at the entrance at 4:30pm. Anyone wishing to leave earlier is welcome to do so!

PLEASE NOTE: RSVP via Eventbrite is REQUIRED as we only have a limited number of group free admission tickets. https://ridetothehuntington.eventbrite.com We also strongly encourage participants to utilize the Metro Gold Line to get to the ride! Bikes ride free with your fare.

If for any reason you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation or let us know ASAP so we can invite some from the waitlist.

DATE: Thursday, May 3 (12-4pm)


12:00pm - Meet Metro Gold Line (Allen Station)
12:30pm - Depart to The Huntington
1-4pm - Enjoy library and gardens for FREE
4:30pm - Return to Allen Station

START/FINISH: Allen Gold Line Station

ROUTE: 3 miles, mostly flat.


-A Metro TAP card (or $3 cash or credit card to purchase one)
-A functional bicycle or wheeled device.
-A bicycle lock (let us know if you need to borrow one)
-Extra $ if you would like to purchase something at their excellent cafe or gift shop
-A helmet is required if under the age of 18; children 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
-Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat.

*** PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign a waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign for any minors under 18 participating in the ride. ***
